What we do...

Here at BIGLITTLE we're all passionate about providing children and young people with the very best theatrical experiences and training.  Whether you're the parent of a primary school aged child who's mad keen on singing & dancing, an early teen-age year child who's struggling with confidence and well-being, or a senior school pupil who's dead-set on a career in theatre - we can help...

For beginners/improvers take a look at our TheatreMachine classes, being re-branded for September 2018 with a new creative team.  For those with more experience who want a faster paced, professional experience then we recommend applying to audition for our three Youth Theatre companies.

If you want to develop individual skills we run classes in actingperformance dance and also private singing lessons*

For those in sixth form or contemplating a gap-year, our renowned Professional Development Programme and GAP Theatre course offer exclusive professional training and has for many, many students been the route not only to further London drama school training, but also significant careers on stage and screen.

*due to demand priority for vocal coaching goes to students who are currently members of BIGLITTLE Youth Theatre

Big Little Theatre School’s Professional Development Programme is a training company which meets for a full day of training on Saturdays plus supplementary weekday classes and other rehearsals at Big Little Studios.

PDP enables committed, focused and talented young performers (from academic year 12) to develop their skills in a fully professional environment, working with a wide range of top professionals in all aspects of theatre and production.

The professional development aspect enables the students to “step up” to a faster paced work rate where there is a higher expectation on them to take responsibility for their own development & work ethic.

GAP THEATRE PROGRAMME
Trinity ATCL Diploma NQA Level 4

The GAP THEATRE course is carefully designed to cater for students aged 18-20. It is specifically for students wishing to commit to a shorter but intensive training programme to prepare for entry into top drama schools or universities. Students should have a genuine ambition to work in the performing arts industry.

The programme will provide advanced training in Musical Theatre and Acting. Students will join for core elements and then further specialise by opting for certain modules. The timetable is deliberately structured so that it is also possible to take on employment, enabling students to fund themselves throughout the course.

For students studying the Trinity Diploma Course, you will receive a recognised Trinity ATCL Diploma NQA Level 4 qualification, equivalent to the first year of a Degree course and a nationally recognised qualification.

 JULY 2018

"I don’t think there is a stage school across the country producing such a high standard as this. They sounded fantastic especially the talent that is coming up through the ranks.. it made me emotional to think of all those wonderful boys and what incredible role models they are for each other, artistically and personally, and how that talent will grow as they  move up the school."
