MOVEMENT DIRECTOR
CHOREOGRAPHER
Emma works as a choreographer and dance and theatre educator in the south of England, London, and abroad.
I have twenty years of experience teaching free work and master classes, including technical jazz, tap, and musical theatre, at many and varied schools across the country.
In Bournemouth, I regularly teach at BIGLITTLE Theatre School for the Professional Development Programme and Foundation Plus Course. I am part of the faculty for South Central Dance Associates and have guest taught for WABS. Further afield, I have most recently freelanced as a guest teacher at Mountview and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
I have also worked at the following:- Arts Educational - workshops/freelance, Northern Ballet School- teacher, choreographer, director and consultant, Urdang Academy- workshop/freelance, CPA- Musical Theatre tutor, Bird College- Junior Dance- Jazz and Musical Theatre tutor, Westside Performing Arts- Dublin- consultant, choreographer and teacher, Bodywork Performing Arts college, Cambridge- freelance, The Centre Performing Arts-freelance, Millenium Performing Arts- workshops/ freelance, D and B Performing Arts - course co-ordinator, teacher, choreographer, director, BBO Dance Days at Elmhurst and South Scholars.
I have developed the Musical Theatre grades for BBO and delivered these syllabi to both students and teachers.
In 2012, I completed the BBO DTLLS level 5 qualification to compliment my previous teaching experience and qualifications (AISTD)
